Because it’s the most fantastic course that we could design.  \n\n\n\n\n\nBottle Lodges. Tudor Gatehouse the west entrance to the estate. \nSt Martins High Street flawless Georgian history.\nThe George Hotel and Gallows. Host to prime ministers and royalty\, a local landmark and place of huge historic importance. \nTown bridge with views over the meadows.\nRiver Welland The historic trade route through Stamford.\nBurghley Estate Beautiful country estate with ancient woodlands and exquisitely maintained grounds.\nBurghley House finished in 1587 one the finest Elizabethan houses ever constructed. \nBurghley Deer Park deer roam freely. \nPilsgate A lovely little village where support will be high.\nThe Green Drift countryside\, dry stone walls and rolling fields.\nBurghley Walled Gardens The old kitchen garden formerly employing 18 full time gardeners and feeding the estate.\nThe Private Burghley Estate ordinarily closed to the public\, a huge privilege to run here.\nLancelot ‘capability’ brown house approach The approach planned for horse and cart with the most exceptional view of the house.\nLions bridge beautiful bridge crossing the lake in the heart of the estate.

DESCRIPTION:Enter here.\n \nIronbridge Half Marathon \nTelford Harriers are proud to bring you the Ironbridge Half Marathon. \nPlease visit the https://www.telfordharriers.com/ironbridgehalfmarathon for further details. \nLocation: Starting and ending at the QEII Arena in Telford Town Park\, Hinkshay Road\, Telford\, TF3 4EP\nStart time: 10:00 AM \nTHE ROUTE  \nThe route will be marked in miles and the course is a down and up\, multi-surface\, one lap loop.  \nStart at the QEII Arena in Telford Town Park\, running through the Telford Town Park and down the Silkin Way\, run past Blists Hill Museum and Coalport China Museum into the Severn Gorge. You follow the old Severn Valley Railway line\, past Maws Craft Centre and the Jackfield Tile Museum. You then run towards the worlds first iron bridge and then run over the World Heritage Ironbridge itself. You continue through the beauiful town of Ironbridge alongside the River Severn then turn up Station Road and then through Coalbrookdale and Rough Park\, onto the Silkin Way heading to the finish in the QEII Arena\, Telford Town Park. \nMile 1 – Leave QEII Arena and head towards Telford Hornets RFC\, a small loop in the town park  \nMile 2 – Onto the Silkin Way  \nMile 3 – Continuing along the Silkin Way joining onto Legges Way  \nMile 4 – Past the Blists Hill Museum continuing on the Silkin Way  \nMile 5 – Coalport China Museum and crossing Coalport Bridge  \nMile 6 – Across other side of the River Severn on Salthouse Road  \nMile 7 – Passing Jackfield Tile Museum  \nMile 8 – Across the famous Ironbridge and passing the Ironbridge Gorge Museum  \nMile 9 – Through Station Road\, Coach Road and Darby Road  \nMile 10 – Through Rough Park and past the Balancing Lakes  \nMile 11 – Heading towards the Silkin Way  \nMile 12 – Along the Silkin Way  \nMile 13 – Back into the QEII Arena  \n  \nPlease follow the Race Marshals\, signs and any Police instructions. Failure to do so may result in this event not being held next year. Once again there is a cut off time of 3 hours\, at 1pm all marshals and timekeepers will be withdrawn.  \nHeadphones please be aware you are not allowed to wear headphones during the race. Anyone spotted wearing these will be disqualified.  \n\nWATER STATIONS  \nThere will be 4 water stations and these are situated:  \nWater station 1 – 3 miles – on the Silkin Way near the Queensway junction\nWater station 2 – 6 miles – Salthouse Road\, by Jackfield Tile Museum\nWater station 3 – 9 miles – School Road before heading to Rough Park\nWater station 4 – 11 miles – on the Silkin Way near the Queensway junction  \nTHE FINISH  \nWhen you have crossed the finish line please keep moving through the finish funnel to collect your medal\, T-shirt and goody bag.  \nWater will be available to all runners on completion of the race. \nPrizes will be available for age category winners. \nTerms and Conditions  \nWe cannot offer refunds or deferrals. \nTransfers will be allowed at a cost of £5.00. \nEarly Bird pricing £30.00 until 1st December 2025\, then £36.00 thereafter. \n

Designed to be a friendly community focussed event with a traditional village run feel\, welcoming all runners and joggers. \nThe event takes place in the beautiful village of Church Eaton and is a circular scenic 10k route through the quiet country lanes around the village. Starting at the Cricket Club with a Children’s Fun Run followed by the 10k and finishing at the Royal Oak. \nBreakfast baps and refreshments available at the Cricket Club from 8.30am to 12 noon plus Food served at the Royal Oak from 12 noon \nVIEW THE ROUTE\n\nPRIZES FOR THE 1ST MALE & FEMALE FINISHERS\n Medal for all competitors.\nChildren’s Fun Run starts 10AM \nMain 10k Race starts 11AM \nRegistration from 08:30-9:45 \nEntry fee 10k £15 \nEntry fee Children’s Run £2.50 \nMinimum age 16 years on event day for 10k \n100 runners limit \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION – Parking\n \nParking will be available at the Cricket Club\, the School and the Royal Oak.
