DESCRIPTION:The Grim Reaper is back for 2026…and he’s coming for you!\nRunners have the option of four solo distances – 10\, 40\, 70 & 100-miles – plus 40-mile and 100-mile team relay options. There will be two 10-mile races\, one in the morning and a night version. \nExpect a mix of estate roads\, limestone tracks and grass trail. Trail shoes are recommended\, especially in damp/wet conditions. \nLocated at the beautiful Grimsthorpe Castle\nThe route is a 10-mile loop that covers beautiful grass trails through ancient woodland\, limestone tracks\, quiet estate roads and a stretch along a disused Victorian railway line. It also skirts around the picturesque estate lake before reaching the start/finish point in front of the castle itself. \nWe class this as an ‘undulating’ trail course with no major hills to contend with\, making it ideal for those new to ultra-running\, looking to take the next step to a longer distance or aiming for a PB. The weekend timetable is designed so that you can specialise in your chosen activity or fill your weekend with as much sporting action as possible. Each event is individually the best it can be but we’re bringing them together for an amazing collective experience. The swim venue is unique and exciting\, the run courses are full of interest and adventure\, the bike course is closed road across all distances.

SUMMARY:The Grim Reaper
DESCRIPTION:Enter here \nThe Grim Reaper is back and he’s coming for you! This multi-distance event at the stunning Grimsthorpe Castle Estate in South Lincolnshire gives runners the option of four solo distances – 10\, 40\, 70 & 100-miles with a 40-mile and 100-mile team option too. There will be two 10-mile races\, one in the morning and a night run. \nThe full marked route is a 10-mile loop that covers beautiful grass trails through ancient woodland\, limestone tracks\, quiet estate roads and a stretch along a disused Victorian railway line. It also skirts around the picturesque estate lake before reaching the start/finish point in front of the castle itself. \nWhilst there will be a 5-mile aid station\, this is a self-sufficient race with an area at the start/finish point to leave tents/supplies to access after each lap. \nThere will be hot food and hot/cold drinks available to purchase throughout the event (from 6am on Saturday until 10am on Sunday). \nThe three ultra-distances (40\, 70 & 100-miles) have a strict cut-off time of 26-hours with a mandatory kit list for the ultra-distances. See Bog Dog website for further details (Race section to go live by the end of December ’21). \nEntry includes a finisher’s medal\, t-shirt and goody bag. Entry also includes the option to camp on the Friday and Saturday nights. \nTrophies will be awarded to the 1st male & female in all solo races. \nThose who complete the 40\, 70 and 100-mile solo races get presented with a special finishers t-shirt. \nGrimsthorpe Castle is located near the town of Bourne in South Lincolnshire.
