SUMMARY:Langtoft 10k and Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:This popular 10k race is a certified accurate route and takes place on flat\, country roads through the villages of Langtoft\, Greatford and Barholm. It finishes on Langtoft Sports field where facilities include Changing Rooms\, Toilets\, Bag Storage\, Late Entries\, Refreshments and Car Parking. The course is mainly on roads\, which are not closed\, but are well marshalled with drinks stations and\, where appropriate\, traffic management operatives. There will be a timing clock on the lead car. \nMinimum age 15 for the main race. \nFor online entries – Race Numbers will not be posted out but will need to be collected on the day of the event. Full details and instructions will be sent by email. \nMemento to all finishers and various Trophies and Prizes awarded\, together with a Course Record Time competition.  \nSee website for more details.

SUMMARY:The Grim Reaper
DESCRIPTION:The Grim Reaper is back for 2026…and he’s coming for you!\nRunners have the option of four solo distances – 10\, 40\, 70 & 100-miles – plus 40-mile and 100-mile team relay options. There will be two 10-mile races\, one in the morning and a night version. \nExpect a mix of estate roads\, limestone tracks and grass trail. Trail shoes are recommended\, especially in damp/wet conditions. \nLocated at the beautiful Grimsthorpe Castle\nThe route is a 10-mile loop that covers beautiful grass trails through ancient woodland\, limestone tracks\, quiet estate roads and a stretch along a disused Victorian railway line. It also skirts around the picturesque estate lake before reaching the start/finish point in front of the castle itself. \nWe class this as an ‘undulating’ trail course with no major hills to contend with\, making it ideal for those new to ultra-running\, looking to take the next step to a longer distance or aiming for a PB. DESCRIPTION:After a fab day last year the Derrington Dash 5k is back. Aimed at 8y0oto .100+ yo and all abilities it is a real family event.  It is part of the yearly fete at Derrington so look out for cakes and other fetey things! The course is a casual run mainly down old railway tracks\, with a quick detour around the Millennium Green pond (because who doesn’t love a scenic route\, right?)\n\nWhen – Saturday 4th July\nStart time – 12 30pm start\nLocation – Derrington playing fields next to the chuch\nStart line – on the old railway lines adjacent to the playing fields in Derrington\nOpen to – 8yo (only if accompanied by an adult) and over\nPrizes – Memento for every finisher. Prizes for first 3 x places male /female & prizes for 1st boy/girl U11 & U16\nCost – £10\nAfterwards – enjoy Derrington Village fete\, complete with food stall\, tea and coffee\, bar\, stalls\, duck races\, children’s games\, dog show\, Tug of War to name a few!!!

SUMMARY:Shrewsbury Severn Bridges 10k
DESCRIPTION:The Severn Bridges was first put on in 2009 by Shropshire Council with the key goal of encouraging people who might not think of themselves as runners to try a 10km. \nWhen the Council decided to stop running the event after Covid they asked the Shropshire Shufflers to take over. \nThey leapt at the chance as their ethos is to be a welcoming and inclusive club to everyone interested in running at whatever pace\, so the Shrewsbury Severn Bridges 10k fits in with that nicely. \nIt isn’t a race for PB’s unless it’s your first…congratulations!  It’s a race where you can enjoy the River Severn and the Quarry\, enjoy yourself and be in with a chance to win a spot prize.  Anyone can be a winner. \nIt is an EA affiliated race – race licence applied for.

DESCRIPTION:  \nEvent website here. \nAs in previous years\, we start and finish at the picturesque Walton Hall in Wellesbourne. Get fit\, breathe in some fresh air and raise valuable funds for Shipston Home Nursing. \nWalton Hall is a 16th century mansion set in 65 acres of glorious countryside overlooking a lake. Walk or run the route\, through nearby woods\, into the village of Walton and back to the Hall. \nEnter as an individual\, or gather a group of friends or colleagues to enter as a team. When you register you can also set up your own fundraising page which enables friends and family to support you and Shipston Home Nursing. \nOnce again\, we will be offering electronic race timing for pre-registered runners. \nRegistration from 8.45am – Start 10am \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE: This event is cross country. \nSet in the grounds of Walton Hall Hotel by kind permission of Sir Andrew Hamilton and Walton Hall. \nRoute subject to change depending on weather conditions. \nAll children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. \nThis event is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are welcome but on a lead please. \nShipston Home Nursing will be taking photographs at this event. These images will be used by Shipston Home Nursing to share news about the event\, and to publicise our future fundraising events. Images may be used in press releases\, printed publicly and published on the Shipston Home Nursing website. They will be stored securely\, and we will delete them after they are no longer needed for publicity purposes.
