SUMMARY:Rugeley 10
DESCRIPTION:Event Organiser’s site here \nFirst held in 2016\, this challenging ten–mile event\, held in mid February is part of the North Staffs Road Runners Association annual calendar. \nRun on scenic but quiet lanes\, the undulating course is based around the small villages of Brereton and Longdon on the outskirts of Rugeley in rural Staffordshire\, the event has a capacity of 350 runners which has sold out well in advance of the date in the past few years. \nEntry is online only but there will be  a waiting list. If you have difficulty in getting online\, please get in touch using the contacts on the Entry Central website. \nThe race finishes at the rear Race HQ where there are ample refreshments to suit the weather\, which at that time of the year can not always be relied on to be too hot! \nThere is plenty of car parking on the day which is split between several car parks. We would request that where possible people car share this not only helps the environment it also make our lives a little easier and less stressful. each car park will be marshalled and we request that you follow the marshals instructions as this helps with ensuring there are sufficient parking spaces. \nNB: Some of the parking areas are a 5 minute walk to the HQ.

SUMMARY:The Grim Reaper
DESCRIPTION:Event Organiser site here\nThe Grim Reaper is coming for you!\nRunners have the option of four solo distances – 10\, 40\, 70 & 100-miles – plus 40-mile and 100-mile team relay options. There will be two 10-mile races\, one in the morning and a night version. \nExpect a mix of estate roads\, limestone tracks and grass trail. Trail shoes are recommended\, especially in damp/wet conditions. \nLocated at the beautiful Grimsthorpe Castle\nThe route is a 10-mile loop that covers beautiful grass trails through ancient woodland\, limestone tracks\, quiet estate roads and a stretch along a disused Victorian railway line. It also skirts around the picturesque estate lake before reaching the start/finish point in front of the castle itself. \nWe class this as an ‘undulating’ trail course with no major hills to contend with\, making it ideal for those new to ultra-running\, looking to take the next step to a longer distance or aiming for a PB. The course will be fully marked.

SUMMARY:Shrewsbury Severn Bridges 10k
DESCRIPTION:Event Organiser’s site here \nThe Severn Bridges was first put on in 2009 by Shropshire Council with the key goal of encouraging people who might not think of themselves as runners to try a 10km. \nWhen the Council decided to stop running the event after Covid they asked the Shropshire Shufflers to take over. \nThey leapt at the chance as their ethos is to be a welcoming and inclusive club to everyone interested in running at whatever pace\, so the Shrewsbury Severn Bridges 10k fits in with that nicely. \nIt isn’t a race for PB’s unless it’s your first…congratulations!  It’s a race where you can enjoy the River Severn and the Quarry\, enjoy yourself and be in with a chance to win a spot prize.  Anyone can be a winner. \nIt is an EA affiliated race – race licence applied for.
