DESCRIPTION:This fast\, five-mile event is virtually flat. The term “multi-terrain” must have been coined for this course\, with just about every type of surface being encountered from playing field\, canal towpath\, unmade tracks and footpaths to country lanes and even a short stretch of trunk road! \nTimed to complement the annual Stone Festival in early June\, the race starts at Westbridge Park near the town centre and runs adjacent to the Trent and Mersey canal

SUMMARY:Shrewsbury Severn Bridges 10k
DESCRIPTION:The Severn Bridges was first put on in 2009 by Shropshire Council with the key goal of encouraging people who might not think of themselves as runners to try a 10km. \nWhen the Council decided to stop running the event after Covid they asked the Shropshire Shufflers to take over. \nThey leapt at the chance as their ethos is to be a welcoming and inclusive club to everyone interested in running at whatever pace\, so the Shrewsbury Severn Bridges 10k fits in with that nicely. \nIt isn’t a race for PB’s unless it’s your first…congratulations!  It’s a race where you can enjoy the River Severn and the Quarry\, enjoy yourself and be in with a chance to win a spot prize.  Anyone can be a winner. \nIt is an EA affiliated race – race licence applied for.

SUMMARY:Walton Hall 10k Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:  \nEvent website here. \nAs in previous years\, we start and finish at the picturesque Walton Hall in Wellesbourne. Get fit\, breathe in some fresh air and raise valuable funds for Shipston Home Nursing. \nWalton Hall is a 16th century mansion set in 65 acres of glorious countryside overlooking a lake. Walk or run the route\, through nearby woods\, into the village of Walton and back to the Hall. \nEnter as an individual\, or gather a group of friends or colleagues to enter as a team. When you register you can also set up your own fundraising page which enables friends and family to support you and Shipston Home Nursing. \nOnce again\, we will be offering electronic race timing for pre-registered runners. \nRegistration from 8.45am – Start 10am \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE: This event is cross country. \nSet in the grounds of Walton Hall Hotel by kind permission of Sir Andrew Hamilton and Walton Hall. \nRoute subject to change depending on weather conditions. \nAll children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. \nThis event is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are welcome but on a lead please. \nShipston Home Nursing will be taking photographs at this event. These images will be used by Shipston Home Nursing to share news about the event\, and to publicise our future fundraising events. Images may be used in press releases\, printed publicly and published on the Shipston Home Nursing website. They will be stored securely\, and we will delete them after they are no longer needed for publicity purposes.
