Gnosall 10k

June 8, 2024 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Gnosall Globe Trotters

The Gnosall 10K is hosted by Gnosall Globetrotters Running Club and starts and finishes in the village at the Gnosall Family Sports Club (ST20 0JF).

How many runners can enter?

The race sold out with 300 entries in 2019 and we have therefore increased our race licence to allow up to 400 runners in the 2023 race. Entries are online via JC Race Solutions (paper entries are no longer permitted) where you can also pre-order the size of your race t-shirt. On-the-day entries will be permitted (£18 affiliated, £20 unaffiliated) subject to the event limit of 400 runners however we anticipate that we may sell out before race day. We cannot guarantee on-the-day entrants will receive their preferred t-shirt size.

Who can enter the race ?

Our friendly 10K race is open to runners of all abilities. All finishers receive a fantastic technical t-shirt (pre-order your t-shirt size when you enter) and yummy goodies as their reward at the finish line.

There are prizes for the first three men and ladies and we always ensure we have plenty of spot prizes (prosecco, beer and chocolate goodies!) for those runners who we feel deserve a little something special for their hard work, irrespective of how long the race takes them. We also award the Sam Myatt trophy in memory of a much-loved young runner from Gnosall for the fastest young finisher (20 years old or younger)

How can I find out my run time?

Gnosall 10K has a UKA licence (attended by a race adjudicator on the day) and is professionally chip-timed by JC Race Solutions.

Whilst waiting for the runners to return, spectators can enjoy refreshments provided by a number of vendors at the Gnosall Family Sports Club and children can have fun in the play area.

What is the route like ?

The race incorporates the Shropshire Union Canal, local farmland paths, the woodland area of Broadhill, the disused railway line (Route 55) and the ‘boardwalk’ through The Acres, In previous years we have had to include a slight detour at the start/finish because the boardwalk being flooded due to unseasonal heavy rainfall.

The course is an undulating, multi-terrain route through some absolutely beautiful countryside and is arguably the most scenic 10K in Staffordshire.
