An exciting new open water swim at Alton water in Suffolk
A real adventure on an incredible open water swim course
SwimAlton is our season opener. The first opportunity to go open water swimming with us.
We’ve created an exciting and interesting course we’re sure you’ll love.
The course is an adventure around the heart of Alton water in Suffolk. A beach start leading to a long exposed reach across the widest section of the reservoir. We incorporate the water tower and the Dam before turning back and heading to a beach finish and a warm welcome.
The course is full of features and points of interest. We welcome swimmers to challenge themselves with pace or distance offering a nice range of options. 1/2 mile, 1 mile, 2 miles or 5km swims are open to athletes.

An out and back, keeping things close to the shore. Great for building your confidence in open water.

A complete loop of the SwimAlton course. With some fantastic landmarks along the way.

Enjoy the course and increase the distance. You get to enjoy the course twice and challenge your endurance.

A huge benchmark in open water swimming, considered the Half Marathon. 3hrs to try!
